Understanding Arabic music

  • Adelaide Middle Eastern Dance Studio 4 Pioneer Court Highbury 5089 SA Australia (map)

In Egypt they say 'The dancer is the last, (and visual), member of the orchestra.'

This course is a treasure chest for any dancer wanting to develop their understanding of Arabic music and ability to make exciting and musical choreographies, and becoming that last member of the orchestra.

We will work with different pieces of music, and listen to rhythms, instruments and other clues about how to use the music. Hilde will give examples of how to use the music, but there will also be improvisations.

Open level, but you must have taken a beginner course before you sign up.

Time: 11 AM - 1 PM

Price: 40 dollars
